Ieri sera, nel corso della cerimonia di consegna dei Brit Awards, James Bay ha trionfato nella categoria ‘Miglior artista maschile britannico’ e si è esibito sul palco della O2 Arena di Londra per ben due volte. Dal 4 marzo sarà nelle radio italiane il nuovo singolo If You Ever Want To Be In Love. 

Tra i protagonisti dei Brit Awards 2016, James Bay ha accompagnato a sorpresa con la sua chitarra Justin Bieber in una versione acustica della hit Love Yourself e in seguito ha cantato dal vivo la hit Hold Back The River,  disco di platino in Italia e contenuto nell’album d’esordio Chaos And The Calm.

Lunedì 14 marzo James Bay sarà protagonista di una data già sold out all’Alcatraz di Milano (ma sono state annunciate altre due date il 3 e il 4 giugno a Firenze e ad Ancona) e in quell’occasione presenterà ai suoi fan anche il nuovo singolo If You Ever Want To Be In love, in rotazione radiofonica da venerdì 4 marzo.

Il brano strizza l’occhio agli immaginari emotivi e melodici degli artisti amati da James, ovvero Bruce Springsteen a Ryan Adams, con una preponderanza di chitarre e cori molto accattivanti. Quella che viene raccontata è una storia di nostalgia e ritorno a casa. Il video del brano è stato diretto dalla regista Sophie Muller e vede James Bay esibirsi in un piccolo locale, proprio come succedeva 18 mesi fa. Ora James è uno degli artisti più apprezzati e porta la sua musica in tutto il mondo.
