Si intitola Alive il nuovo singolo di Sia già disponibile nei digital store e nella programmazione di tutte le radio. Il brano anticipa l’uscita di This Is Acting, il nuovo album dell’artista su etichetta Monkey Puzzle Records/RCA Records. A firmare questo pezzo è stata anche Adele, tra le star più attese di questo autunno musicale.
“I’m Aliiiiiiiive”. Preparatevi a far risuonare nelle orecchie questa frase perché è molto probabile che il nuovissimo singolo di Sia diventerà una hit, come già Chandelier, rivelazione dell’anno scorso.
Cantante, autrice, produttrice e hit maker di livello planetario, Sia Furler torna sulle scene con il primo estratto dal nuovo disco This Is Acting, nel quale interpreta canzoni da lei scritte e destinate originariamente ad altre cantanti, proprio come nel caso della già citata Alive.
Firmata dalla stessa Sia in collaborazione con Tobias Jesso Jr. e Adele e prodotta da Jesse Shatkin, avrebbe dovuto far parte del prossimo disco della voce di Rolling In The Deep, che invece non l’ha inclusa nell’album atteso per novembre. Alive è stata quindi fatta ascoltare a Rihanna, che a Sia deve un pezzo come Diamonds, ma anche in questo caso l’esito non è stato positivo. La ritroviamo dunque nella versione incisa dalla penna d’oro del music business degli ultimi anni e, a giudicare dal risultato, non farà fatica a scalare le classifiche mondiali.
A luglio 2014 Sia ha pubblicato 1000 Forms Of Fear, il fortunato album che conteneva la 4 volte nominata ai Grammy Chandelier ed Elastic Heart (i cui videoclip hanno totalizzato rispettivamente oltre 900 e 400 milioni di visualizzazioni su YouTube).
Come autrice ha realizzato molti brani resi celebri dall’interpretazione di sue colleghe. Tra questi Double Rainbow (Katy Perry), Perfume (Britney Spears), Pretty Hurts (Beyoncé), Loved Me Back To Life (Céline Dion).
Sia ha anche prestato la propria voce a hit da lei scritte per altri artisti, come Titanium di David Guetta, Beautiful Pain di Eminem e Wild Ones di Flo Rida. Lo scorso anno, inoltre, ha ottenuto una nomination ai Golden Globe con il brano Opportunity tratto da Annie – La felicità e contagiosa, adattamento cinematografico del musical di Broadway.
