MTV VMA 2017, le nomination eliminano le categorie di genere




Sono state annunciate in esclusiva su Instagram Live le nominations dei prossimi MTV Video Music Awards 2017 con Kendrick Lamar che ha ottenuto ben 8 nomination per il video di Humble. Katy Perry e The Weeknd seguono con 5 nomination ciascuno. Continuando l’apprezzato percorso delle categorie senza distinzione di genere, inaugurato agli scorsi MTV Movie & TV Awards, il network ha annunciato che le precedenti categorie “Best Female Video” e “Best Male Video” sono state unificate nella categoria “Artist of the Year”. Inoltre, è stata aggiunta la categoria “Best Fight Against the System” per celebrare i video che possono ispirare gli spettatori a lottare contro l’ingiustizia.

MTV Video Music Awards 2017, quando e dove vederli in tv

Gli MTV Video Music Awards 2017 saranno trasmessi dal “Fabulous” Forum di Inglewood, in California domenica 27 agosto. In Italia, l’evento sarà trasmesso in diretta nella notte tra domenica 27 e lunedì 28 agosto a partire dalle 2.00 su MTV (canale 133 di Sky), anticipato dal pre-show a partire dall’1.00, e in replica nei giorni seguenti in prima e seconda serata sempre su MTV (Sky 133).

MTV Video Music Awards 2017, le votazioni

I fan residenti negli Stati Uniti possono votare le 8 categorie dei VMA, che comprendono tra le altre “Video of the Year”, “Artist of the Year” e “Best Collaboration” su www.vma.mtv.com. Inoltre, le votazioni per “Best New Artist”, award presentato da Taco Bell®, rimarranno aperte durante tutto il Pre-Show dell’evento. I due artisti in testa verranno annunciati nel pre-show dando il via ad una votazione in diretta via Twitter. I nominati della categoria “Best Song of Summer” verranno invece annunciati più avanti.
